If you need help navigating the list, our personality quiz will allow you to discover which of the 13 titles on the International Booker Prize longlist is perfect for you.
12 of the best Booker-nominated books by Latin American authors
When this year’s International Booker Prize longlist was announced, Fiammetta Rocco, Administrator of the International Booker Prize, observed that the inclusion of Itamar Vieira Junior, Rodrigo Blanco Calderón, Selva Almada and Gabriela Wiener signalled ‘a second boom’ in Latin American fiction. In addition to those authors, and if you’re looking to immerse yourself in the best writing from the region, here are a dozen more titles – all by Latin American authors and all previously nominated for our prizes – to add to your TBR pile.
