As we reach the end of the year, we're reflecting on the books that have had the most significant impact on us
Some books arrive in our lives just when we need them the most, offering perspective or much-needed guidance that can stay with us for years to come. They might help us weather difficult times, shift our worldview, or inspire us with a message of hope.
With that in mind, we’d love to hear which books from the Booker Library (the 600+ works that have been longlisted or shortlisted for our prizes over the past 55 years) have had the greatest impact on you.

The book that changed my life was Adrienne Rich, of woman born. After I understood the systematic suppression of women in our society I filed for divorce, engaged in the womens movement and found s total different way of life with other women and tried to help my daughter to obtain a good education.
